In March 2020, I began writing "The Larkey Lowdown", which is a blog that discusses politics and the pandemic.

Presented newly published memoir, “Looking Back, Moving Forward, The View from Beyond Seventy". More than forty people attended. Discussed the challenges and joys of writing a family story, which is meant to be a legacy for my children and grandchildren.
Invited to discuss the blog, “The Arc of History” with an online group from the JCC. The point of the blog was to show that America has been in difficult situations before, (the Civil War, WW2), and overcome them, often by coming together as a country.
Invited to discuss “Concession Speeches.” In light of Donald Trump’s refusal to concede and participate in the peaceful transfer of power from his administration to Biden/Harris, “The Larkey Lowdown” highlights concession speeches through the ages. With audio of Al Gore and John McCain conceding, the value of concession speeches becomes evident, as they stress coming together as a country.
For Presidents’ Day (February 17th 2021), invited to present a talk on Washington and Lincoln and what made them extraordinary. The talk focused on Washington giving up power after two terms to the incoming President, John Adams, and how that tradition is the envy of the global world.
Invited to speak on voter supression (August 9, 2021), a timely topic.
For Women’s History month, virtually presented "Women Making a Difference in Politics". For the last two hundred years, women like Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Vice President Kamala Harris have broken barriers and fought for the vote. Women in law, such as Ruth Bader Ginsberg, changed the equation and the minds of men on many important cases that resonate across the land. Women have that particular combination of intelligence, empathy and strength. They fight for social justice , contribute to science and pave the way for a kinder, gentler nation.
